ABOUT BEATA HECHTOVÁ:
Beata Hechtová is a Czech-born artist, currently working In Los Angeles. In 2020 she finished her studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the printmaking department. Her works are capturing the inner fights of oneself, while trying to untangle the mass of information and cope with the increasing speed of urban lifestyle. The urge to belong reveals a dim memory of raw human nature and its fading instincts. Through painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture and installation, She is displaying the restlessness of subconsciousness and its chaotic connections.
ABOUT THE LENKA MORÁVKOVÁ:
Lenka Morávková hails from Northern Czech Republic, a region famous for its glass industry. Before the conception of her Bohemian Cristal Instrument, she had already produced several striking new media installations based on the sound of the glass during the deepest decline of the glass manufactures. Following Lenka’s original design, the glass sound sculpture is a unique version of the legendary Cristal Baschet instrument. With it, she introduces an entirely new sonic adventure, yet one still strongly connected to her local tradition.
