CONGRATULATIONS: Diplomas of art competition Lidice given to winners in Los Angeles

On April 7, 2016 Consul General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles Pavol Šepeľák handed over diplomas to children from the Fine Art Studio awarded by International Children Art Exhibition Lidice.
The ceremony was organized with kind assistance of Mrs. Anna Merzlikina, Director and Lecturer of art studio. Along along with the Consul General Pavol Šepeľák she handed out diplomas to five awarded children (one of them in absence) from last year and previous years at studio venue of Hayworth Avenue. Awards went to these "little" artists:

43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Art 2015 was dedicated to the theme "Light". Of the total 21,380 entries from 71 countries and 1,643 organizations, 1,282 were awarded by professional jury, including the award of 190 medals.
International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis, and all other children who have died in wars. This was originally a national exhibition which became international in 1973 and during its history has got well known not only among children and teachers in the Czech Republic but all over the world.
