The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles is delighted to invite you to the complimentary concert by Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra featuring Dvořák's widely beloved masterpiece New World Symphony. The concert is being held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 7pm at John Adams Middle School Performing Arts Center (1630 Pearl St. Santa Monica, CA 90405). Czech researcher and violinist Jakub Hlávka will be performing as the Orchestra's concertmaster.

This concert will be performed without an intermission.
The Santa Monica Symphony celebrates Black History Month and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a concert (originally scheduled for January 15) featuring the Piano Concerto of African American composer Florence Price, Dvořák’s beloved New World Symphony and a sing-along of the civil rights anthem “We Shall Overcome”.
The Santa Monica Symphony and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition, thank pianist Leonard Hayes for his January 15 solo Zoom concert, a highlight of the MLK Westside Coalition’s holiday weekend of virtual events.
*UPDATED COVID Policy: All concert goers must show proof of full vaccination (patrons over 18 years old will also be required to show proof of ID) except for children under 5 years of age who must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test (a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time). All attendees must wear a mask covering their nose, mouth, and chin for the entire time they are on the John Adam Middle School campus.
