Guests were welcomed by the national anthems of the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom performed by the talented Czech pianist Jakub Sladek, a graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. The Ambassador then gave a speech summarising the main events in Czech-British relations over the past year. The event was also attended by Czech painter Zuzana Šípová, whose exhibition entitled 'Identity' is decorating the walls of the Embassy's representative premises until 9 November.
