Col. Čapek and Gen. Liškutín celebrated their birthdays

In August 2017, two Czechoslovak war veterans, Colonel Rudolf Čapek and General Miroslav Liškutín, DFC, AFC, celebrated their 98th birthdays.
 

Col. Rudolf Čapek, a former member of the 2nd tank battalion of the Czechoslovak Armoured Brigade, who participated in the siege of Dunkirk, had birthday on 11th August. The Defence Attaché of the Czech Embassy in London, Colonel Jiří Svatoš, visited him at the nursery house in south London, where Col. Čapek has been living for the last few years, and wished him the best in the years to come.

Gen. Miroslav Liškutín, DFC, AFC, a former member of the 312th and 313th Fighter Squadrons of the British Royal Air Force, who shot down several enemy aircraft and flying bombs, celebrated his birthday on 23rd August. Col. Svatoš visited him in his home in Surrey, handed him over few gifts, and wished him good health and all the best.
