Bench of War Veterans in Brookwood

On Saturday 11 November 2017, the „Bench of War Veterans“ has been installed at the Brookwood Cemetary as a part of action entitled „Way of thanksgiving, piety and humbleness“.

This event was planned, realised and financed by the team from the General Sergěj Ingr Military Museum in Vlkoš led by its chairman Mr. Petr Něnička. They travelled more than 4000 km from Czech Republic to Brookwood and back to pay tribute to the Czechoslovak veterans buried at the cemetery. These soldiers fought and died for our honour and liberty. The members of the Czechoslovak Legionnaire group and the Czech Defence Attaché in London, Col. Jiří Svatoš, also attended the event.

We would like to pay great respect to Mr. Petr Něnička and his team for outstanding realisation of the project.

On Sunday 12 November 2017, the Remembrance Day, the representatives of several veterans associations - Czechoslovak Association of Legionnaires led by Mr. Viktor Šinkovec, Czechoslovak Legionnaire led by BG (ret) Karel Blahna and Mr. Tomáš Sláma and a team of Mr. Něnička from the General Sergěj Ingr Military Museum in Vlkoš attended the veterans parade in London.
