Czech Tourism Companies Attracted Representatives from the British Tourist Industry in London as Part of the “Regional Gateways 2019” Roadshow

Over one hundred visitors attended a presentation by Czech companies working in the area of tourism at the "Introduction of the Czech Regions, Cities and Companies in London" event held at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London. The event was aimed at addressing travel agencies in major areas of British tourism and is part of the Czech Economic Diplomacy project.
The presentations by Czech companies from the tourism sector, followed by a networking reception, took place on 10 October 2019 at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London. The organisers welcomed over 100 visitors, mainly from travel agencies, thematic media and other parts of the tourism industry. During the evening the guests were treated to delicious traditional Czech food and Beer. Apart from the excellent presentations, the highlight of the evening was the prize draw in which 7 lucky individuals/agencies won stays in the Czech Republic. The prizes were donated by the presenting Czech companies.

The event was part of the wider “Regional Gateways” roadshow that also took part in Dublin and Manchester. All three shows were organised by the CzechTourism Agency in the UK and Ireland in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in London, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin and, the newly opened Consulate General in Manchester.
The Czech Republic is ranked in the top 10 of Europe’s best destinations. In 2018 the number of tourists visiting the Czech Republic reached a record-breaking 21.3 million which is an increase of 6.4% from the previous year. Many of these tourists either visited the capital city of Prague with its historic city centre or one of the sites of natural beauty, 14 of which have received UNESCO status.
Tourism is an important and dynamically developing economic sector of the Czech Republic. The range of tourist attractions is wide and varied, with the quality of tourism services ever improving. Plenty of enjoyment awaits not only those who love exploring, good food and, unique experiences, but also sports enthusiasts, business people and those seeking high-quality spa care.
