The gathering at the Ambassador's residence in Hampstead was attended by 12 members of the Czech athletic team. Among the athletes were shot-putter Tomáš Staněk, pole vaulter Jan Kudlička, marathon runner Eva Vrabcová Nývltová and hammer thrower Kateřina Šafránková. Among the guests were also the Chairman of the Czech Athletic Association, Libor Varhaník, and the Head of the delegation, Tomáš Janků.

Ambassador Sečka warmly welcomed all the participants, thanked the athletes for their great performances at the World Championships, their excellent representation of the Czech Republic and wished them good luck for the future. He also wished a lot of success to those Czech athletes who could not attend the reception because they were preparing for their events.

The Czech Embassy in London would like to thank all the athletes and delegation members who attended for a very nice informal gathering.
