On 21 February 2018, HRH Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, attended a meeting organised by Mrs. Sabrina Sečková, wife of the Czech Ambassador, in her role of informal Chair of the European Union Ambassadors´ Spouses Group in London.
Mrs. Sečková informed HRH The Duchess of Cornwall about the main goals and activities of the EU Ambassadors´ Spouses Group in London stressing the attention dedicated to the development of people to people contacts. Over a cup of tea and traditional Czech cakes, the participants of the meeting discussed a lot of issues of mutual interest, including current social problems in European countries such as encouraging the elderly to engage in social activites, young people´s literacy, domestic violence against women and other topics. The discussion was lively, open and informal.
Given the whole range of HRH´s charitable and other socially beneficial activites, Mrs. Sečková introduced HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to the group not only as the second highest woman in the United Kingdom´s Order of Precedence but also as an absolutely exceptional person.
On leaving, Mrs. Sečková, on behalf of the EU Ambassadors´ spouses Group, presented HRH The Duchess of Cornwall with a gift of a set of crystal glasses and a carafe „Paula“ from the Czech world famous brand, Moser.
