On 24 February 2016 the Czech Ambassador, H.E. Libor Sečka, visited the upper chamber of the British Parliament - the House of Lords for a series of meetings.
The Ambassador first met with the President of the European Union Committee, Lord Boswell, to discuss topical issues related to the further development of the European integration project, particularly developments in the UK ahead of the forthcoming referendum on remaining in the EU.
Following that meeting, the Ambassador met with Lord Anderson, co-chair of the parliamentary group for co-operation with the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. In mutual conversation they touched the political and economic situation in both countries, the possibility of deepening bilateral collaboration and other current European issues.
Later in the day Ambassador Sečka had a discussion with the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Cllr. Robert Freeman. They talked about the ongoing refurbishment of the Embassy building and the possibilities for cultural interaction in the future.
