Ambassador meets Helen Jones MP

On 24 January 2017 Ambassador Libor Sečka met Mrs Helen Jones MP (Labour Party). The meeting was held regarding the long standing partnership between the towns of Náchod and Warrington which Mrs Jones represents in parliament.

 

The partnership between the two cities dates back to 1991 and is focused mainly on cooperation in the fields of education, social affairs, culture and sport. In the past, for example, youth exchanges, trade and cultural trips were undertaken and environmental issues, tourism and drug problems were discussed between the towns.

Ambassador Libor Sečka stressed the importance and relevance of such a partnership and handed Helen Jones MP greetings from representatives of the town of Náchod who hope for a deepening of the cooperation on future interesting projects and discussions with the city of Warrington. Mrs Jones pledged close coordination and expressed her hope that the partnership between Náchod and Warrington will continue to be actively pursued.
