On 24 June 2009 was held at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador a meeting of Ambassador of the Czech Republic in the State of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Martina Vávra, and Ambassador of Austria in the State of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Marian Wrba. Both counterparts exchanged collections of the most remarkable Czech and Austrian writers´ books, translated into the German and Czech language. Thereto, both Excellencies discussed how this type of cultural exchange could be widened into other friendly countries.

The project of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs called “The Czech Literature in Translations” has fallen on fertile ground here in Kuwait.
