Minister Lipavský to Present the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to Diplomacy at the Czernin Palace on November 17
10.11.2025 / 14:31
On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of November 17, 1989, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský will present six individuals with the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to Diplomacy.
The Minister will confer this traditional award on the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy. In previous years, the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to Diplomacy has been awarded to Madeleine Albright, Karel Schwarzenberg, Magdalena Vašáryová, and Michael Žantovský, among others.
The list of this year’s laureates will be provided in advance to accredited media, under an embargo until the ceremony takes place. We also offer to arrange short interviews with the award recipients upon request.
