On Tuesday, 17 December 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský met with representatives of innovative Czech small and medium-sized companies doing business abroad to discuss ways to support innovation and improve access to foreign markets.
The entrepreneurs shared with the Minister their views on the current economic situation and discussed the main uncertainties of doing business abroad. The Minister was particularly interested in the effectiveness of promoting economic diplomacy in international relations and how the Ministry can further assist entrepreneurs.
"I am happy to see the enthusiasm of innovative small and medium-sized companies and their great interest in developing business with foreign partners. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not neglect to support smaller businesses, especially through economic diplomacy projects," said Minister Lipavský.
Czech small and medium-sized enterprises have a large share in the creation of the gross domestic product and in the realisation of the Czech Republic's exports. They are also an important carrier of innovative skills and technologies with the prospect of their wider promotion both at home and abroad.
