FAMILY REUNIFICATION

An application for long-residence for family reunification can be submitted by a foreign national who will be staying in the Czech Republic more than 90 days and meets one of the conditions below.
The application for long-term residence must be submitted in person.
CONDITIONS
- the spouse of a foreign national in possession of a long-term or permanent residence permit (at least 20 years of age, holder of residence permit has been resident in the Czech Republic for at least 15 months)
- the minor child of a foreign national in possession of a long-term or permanent residence permit
- the minor child of the spouse of a foreign national in possession of a long-term or permanent residence permit
- a minor child
- adopted by a foreign national in possession of a long-term or permanent residence permit or his/her spouse in accordance with a decision taken by the competent authority,
- in foster care of a foreign national in possession of a long-term or permanent residence permit or his/her spouse;
- the minor’s guardian or the spouse of the guardian is a foreign national with a long-term or permanent residence permit for the Czech Republic and the minor will be taken care of in the Czech Republic
- parent of a minor who was granted asylum (if the minor has no parents, the application can be filed by the next-of-kin in the ascending line, or a legal guardian)
- solitary foreign nationals older than 65 years or foreigners who are dependent due to health reasons, if they are joining a parent or a child who is a holder of the long-term or permanent residence permit
- a family member of a holder of a blue card in another Member State of the EU
The documents must be submitted in original or a certified copy and cannot be older than 180 days from the day of issue (with the exception of the passport, academic degree, marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.).
Documents in the English/Urdu language must be officially translated into the Czech language.
REQUIRMENTS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
The Applicant is required to bring original documents as well as 1 set of copies of all supporting documents and passport.
- Application form with the applicant's signature
- Valid Passport (minimum 2 blank pages, valid at least 3 months after returning to Pakistan/Afghanistan)
- 2 colour photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm format, white background)
- Fee
- A consent of parents or legal guardian if applicant is a minor
- Proof of the purpose (e.g already legalised birth certificate/marriage certificate and others for international use according to Act No. 326/1999)
- Proof of accommodation for the entire stay in the territory of the Czech Republic (confirmation of a natural or legal person with an officially verified signature, original or certified copy of the accommodation contract or rental contract)
- Proof of funds that the aggregate monthly household income of the family after its reunification will not be lower than the sum of
- the amount of the subsistence minimums of all family members and
- the highest amount of normative costs for housing, which the foreign national can credibly prove as an amount of reasonably justified costs for the accommodation of the family
- a foreigner is on request obliged to submit the declaration of release obligation of secrecy of the Tax Office, in full range of data, in purpose of verification aggregate monthly income of the family; if a foreigner submitted the document to the request of income of the family member, he/she is on request also obliged to submit its declaration of release obligation of secrecy
- Extract of the records of the Pakistani Criminal Register provided with an official translation into the Czech language
- In accordance with § 31 of Act No. 326/1999, Czech Embassy in Islamabad requires applicants to present an Extract of the records of the country in which they have stayed overall for more than 6 months in the last 3 years. In case the country does not issue such document, it must be replaced by an Affidavit in English and Czech language.
- Afghan nationals are exempt from the obligation to submit Extract of the records of the Afghan Criminal Register; it must be replaced by an Affidavit in English and Czech language.
- Upon request of the Embassy, a document proving the fulfilment of conditions set out in the measure of Ministry of Health on prevention of the spread of infectious illnesses
- Travel medical insurance upon the positive decision of the application
