The Lahore Digital Arts Festival, held from 12th to 15th October 2023, served as a platform for digital creativity, bringing together artists from 14 nations. Among them was Czech photographer Alžběta Jungrová, whose work aligned with the festival’s theme “Metaverse Bodies”, exploring the evolution of identity in digital realms.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of the digital age, festival provided a setting for artists, designers, and enthusiasts to engage in discussions and display their work and the concept of “Metaverse Bodies” emerges as a profound reflection of our transforming identities. Alžběta Jungrová, with her visionary insights, delves into this transformative theme, capturing the essence of how the metaverse, a collective virtual shared space, reshapes our perception of self and society. The metaverse offers a realm where the boundaries of self are both expanded and redefined, and Alžběta’s work intricately showcases this duality.

They evolve into fluid, multifaceted constructs that traverse various virtual domains, adopt diverse personas, and engage in innovative interactions. The Czech Embassy in Islamabad proudly participated in the event through its sponsorship as one of the members of the EUNIC Pakistan cluster, reinforcing the cultural and artistic ties between the Czech Republic and Pakistan.
