Department of Public Diplomacy supports every opportunity for strengthening cooperation in the spheres of culture, education, science as well as in other fields leading towards the promotion of the Czech Republic and its good name abroad. The key role in this endeavor belongs to the missions of the Czech Republic. However, it is the Department of Public Diplomacy that coordinates our missions within the above mentioned activities. Czech Centers also participate in the planning of cultural programs abroad.

Department of Public Diplomacy (DPD) provides concepts, methodology as well as supervision of presentations of the Czech Republic abroad.  The Department surveys possibilities of active presentations of the Czech Republic in support of its political and economic interests abroad. It also coordinates these opportunities. Important part of the Public Diplomacy lies in conferences, seminars, including other presentations that are either organized or co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by our missions abroad. These events can be sometimes supported through available grants or through other means of auspices.

Honorary Consulates of the Czech Republic are integral part of the network of our missions abroad. Consulates can e.g. present exhibitions offered by the Department. Through this website we offer useful contacts and other links that might be explored by the Honorary Consulates.  We offer consultations in organizing cultural presentations by the Consulates.
