Czech films „Surviving Life“ and "Kooky" screened at the 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF)

Hong Kong audience will get a special opportunity to watch the latest releases of two Czech internationally-acclaimed auteurs, directors Jan Svankmajer and Jan Sverak, which will be screened within the programme of the 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) that runs from March 20, 2011 to April 5, 2011.

The latest surrealistic feature-length project of director Jan Svankmajer "Surviving Life" (Cast: Vaclav Helsus, Klara Issova, Zuzana Kronerova) will be presented as part of the "Master Class" section of the 35th HKIFF with two screenings on March 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in UA iSQUARE, Tsim Sha Tsui and on April 3, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Hong Kong City Hall Theatre, Central.

The Asian premiere of Jan Sverak's latest film „Kooky" (Voices: Ondrej and Zdenek Sverak, Jiri Machacek, Petr Ctvrtnicek, Jiri Labus, Pavel Liska, Ondrej Vetchy, Jiri Schmitzer) will take place within the "Animation Unlimited" section at the 35th HKIFF. Two screenings will be held on April 2, 2011 from 2:45 p.m at the Grand Cinema in Elements (Kowloon Station) and on April 5, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre, Tsim Sha Tsui.
