Czech films "I´m Not Everything I Want To Be" and "Happiness to All" at the Helsinki Documentary Film Festival

On February 4 - 9, two Czech films "I´m Not Everything I Want To Be ", directed by Klára Tasovská, and "Happiness to All", directed by Filip Remunda, will be screened at this year's DocPoint Festival in Helsinki.

Finland’s biggest documentary film festival DocPoint is held for the 24th time from 4 until 9 February, 2025. The festival shows the most anticipated Finnish premieres and the most talked about international documentaries. Two Czech films were selected for the festival this year as well.

Film "I´m Not Everything I Want To Be", directed by Klára Tasovská, follows the story of photographer Libuše Jarcovjáková, exploring the lives of sexual minorities on both sides of the Iron Curtain. With skillful direction, editing, and sound design, this film takes us beyond the photos to a truly cinematic experience. Director Klára Tasovská will attend the screening on 8 February. Film "Happiness to All", directed by Filip Remunda, follows the life of Vitali, a former nuclear physicist from Russia who, despite losing both his job and apartment, continues to believe he lives in the freest country in the world. This insightful film traces his journey over the course of nearly a decade, from 2016 to 2024. Information about the festival

DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival is one of the largest documentary festivals in the Nordic countries. In Finland, it is the only festival solely dedicated to nonfiction films. The best Finnish and international films will be awarded in the National Competition and the International Competition as well as the National Shorts Competition.
