Extraordinary evening of Czech classical music with cellist Adam Klánský and pianist Jenni Lappalainen in Helsinki

On 4 November 2024, the Saksalainen kirkko in Helsinki was filled with the sounds of cello and piano performed by Adam Klánský and Jenni Lappalainen. This concert, organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Helsinki, presented the best of Czech composers.

Adam Klánský started playing the cello at the age of five under the guidance of Kateřina Hroníková. From an early age he showed exceptional talent, which he confirmed by winning numerous national and international competitions. He is currently a fourth year student at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of prof. Petr Nouzovský. His greatest achievements include winning prestigious competitions such as the J. J. F. Dotzauer competition in Dresden and the Gustav Mahler International Competition in Jihlava. As a soloist he has performed with major Czech orchestras - with the PKF Prague Philharmonia and the Hradec Králové Philharmonic. Since the 2023/24 season he has been a member of the cello section of the Czech Philharmonic.
