The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offering Czech language courses are organised by several public universities in the Czech Republic.

The courses are intended mainly for foreign students, experts (teachers, translators, interpreters) and academics in the field of Czech and Slavic studies who are at least 18 years old. However, due to their broad scope, they are also open to everyone else interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.

The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture, and history, leisure activities including theatre, music, and dance performances, excursions, sightseeing trips, etc.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic annually offers 3 scholarships for the students from Vietnam. Study courses in 2025 for applicants from the Socialist Republic of  Vietnam will be organised by the following Czech universities:

-           Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague

-           Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, Brno

-           Faculty of Arts of Palacký University, Olomouc
            

To apply please fill out the application form (handwritten or typed), sign with own hand, print and send together with your CV in Czech or English to the following address by 7th March 2025 at the latest:

The successful applicants will be notified directly by the individual institutions they applied for. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi can accept only printed and signed applications.

Any scholarship applications sent directly to the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport or to the institution providing Summer School courses by the individual applicants will not be processed.

Please note that the Summer School courses are open also to foreign nationals who do not hold or cannot apply for the aforementioned scholarships and wish to bear the related expenses themselves. Applications are to be filed directly with the selected institution in this case.
