Schengen visa allows the holder to stay or transit in Schengen area in accordance with the duration of the stay and with the validity of the visa mentioned on the visa sticker, no more than 90 days in 180 days period. Every applicant must come in person to submit the application regardless fingerprint history. Application can be submitted at the earliest 6 months but not less than 15 days before the planned travel date. Visa process takes 15 days but can be prolonged up to 45 days (in that case an applicant is informed by Embassy). In light of this we recommend applicants to apply in advance - 3 or 4 weeks before the trip - to avoid any complication.
