Study visa

A foreigner who intends to stay in the territory of the Czech Republic for the purpose of studies is entitled to submit the application for a visa for a stay of over 90 days (a long-term visa) for the purpose of studies, if his/her stay in the territory of the Czech Republic shall be longer than three months.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All the residents who want to submit their long term visa/stay at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Doha must prove that they have been staying in the State of Qatar legitimately and continuously for at least 2 years. In case they are not able to prove it, the application will not be accepted.
Required documents
Along with the application for a long-term visa, you must submit:
1. original travel document (a travel document for the purposes of conferring a long-term visa shall not be older than 10 years, it must contain at least 2 free pages and its validity must be at least 3 months longer than the validity of the long-term visa)
2. 1 passport size photograph (current appearance)
3. a document on enrolment in studies
3. proof of accodmmodation
4. proof of funds (original periodical bank statement, original sponsorship letter in case of funding from other person plus the copy of the passport of a sponsor and employer confirmation about his/her salary, copy of student debit/credit card - only front page)
6. a parental consent (younger 18 years old)
7. a document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record (police clearance), issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which, in the last 3 years, you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months (not required from a foreign national under 15 years).
8. upon the request a document proving the fulfilment of conditions set out in the measure of Ministry of Health on prevention of the spread of infectious illnesses.
Do not overlook
- supporting documents may not be older than 180 days with the exception of a passport, registry documents (birth certificate or marriage certificate), diplomas and similar documents and photo (if reflecting current appearance).
- all supporting documents must be submitted in Czech language (official translation into Czech).
- foreign documents must be leglaized (provided with appostille or superlegalization stamp - depends on country of issuing).
- following documents must be submitted in their originals: passport, purpose for the stay, registry documents (birth, marriage certificates), parental consent. These originals will be returned to the applicant (other documents may be submitted in originals or officially verified copies).
- incomplete applications are unacceptable - these will not be accepted for processing and will be returned to the applicant in accordance with § 169h of Act on Residence of Foreign Nationals).
- standard visa process (study purpose) takes 60 days, purpose other (not accredited study program) takes 90 days.
