Lectures by the Ambassador in Copenhagen

In March 2011, Ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka delivered lectures on the Czech Republic and on the Velvet Revolution for one of Copenhagen’s Rotary Clubs and for the twin-cities Ballerup-Prague 10 Association.

The first two lectures – “The Czech Republic, an Exciting Country in the Heart of Europe” and “The Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia“ took place on 16 March 2011. About 30 members of the Rotary Club “Christianshavn-Slotsholmen“ attended. The club was established in 1991.
Ambassador’s lecture in Ballerup
On 24 March 2011, the ambasador attended the annual meeting of the twin-cities Ballerup-Prague 10 Association where he delivered a lecture called The Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia and screened the documentary The Power of the Powerless (2009) by the American director Cory Taylor.

The Ballerup-Praha 10 Association, which has already existed 11 years, has 70 individual and 3 collective members. It belongs among the most active Czech-Danish partnership organizations. Recently, it participated in organizing the exhibition of illustrations by Renáta Fučíková at the Ballerup Library.
