Lasvit Wins Prestigious Award at NYC World Trade Week

Lasvit Inc. has received the prestigious Small Business Global Trade Award, presented as part of World Trade Week NYC. This award recognizes small businesses operating in the New York metropolitan area whose growth and achievements serve as an inspiring example in the field of international trade.
Arnošt Kareš, Consul General of the Czech Republic in New York, attended the award ceremony held on May 7 at Baruch College. Thanks to a nomination by the Consulate General, the company Lasvit Inc, received the prestigious Small Business Global Trade Award presented by a jury composed of experts from academia, federal and state institutions, business associations, and the non-profit sector. The ceremony also included participation from World Trade Week partners, such as trade and investment agencies from various states, business organizations, and other stakeholders committed to supporting international trade.
The company was represented by Katerina Lennon, Manager of Lasvit New York Atelier. Ms. Lennon highlighted a long tradition of glassmaking in Czechia and global achievements of the company which has been founded only 18 years ago. Today, it has 350 employees, offices all over the world, and over 3000 project references in 83 countries. "What we have been aiming for as a company is to create emotions and memories, we want you to feel something when you are surrounded by our craft. We do not want luxury to look down on anyone, we want luxury to lift everyone.", said Katerina Lennon.
NYC World Trade Week takes place every May for over two decades and is hosted by the New York District Export Council. The event serves as an important platform that brings together dozens of organizations—from business associations to trade agencies—united by a common goal: to support and foster global trade relations. World Trade Week NYC provides a space for collaboration and the development of programs aimed at helping businesses expand into international markets—both from the U.S. and into the U.S.
