President Pavel met the Secretary General Pejčinović Burić

During his visit in Strasbourg, President Pavel had an opportunity to exchange views with Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Pejčinović Burić.  They both emphasized the goals and priorities set by the Fourth Summit in Reykjavik in strengthening democracy and responding to new challenges.

The Czech President especially appreciated all the work done on the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which is an important element in delivering justice for Ukraine.

During the visit, the President together with the Secretary General commemorated Václav Havel´s legacy in the field of human rights, democracy and freedom.
