Czechia contributes to the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission

The Government of Czechia has made a voluntary contribution of CZK 100 000 (approximately €4 100) to support the activities of the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission.
The Government of Czechia has made a voluntary contribution of CZK 100 000 (approximately €4 100) to support the activities of the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission.
The agreement was signed on 25 September 2025 by Ambassador Kristýna Najmanová, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
The Venice Commission provides legal advice to Council of Europe member states in the areas of constitutional and electoral law, human rights protection, and the functioning of democratic institutions. Its goal is to promote the rule of law, democracy, and the harmonization of legal standards across Europe.
