Prague Days in Chicago 2015 - Celebrating Czech History in Chicago
Shortly after the people of the Czech lands regained their freedom in 1989, the cities of Prague and Chicago became Sister Cities, establishing a pathway for rediscovery of the shared origins of their peoples and creating a forum for exchanging ideas on art, education, and culture. Now, in the 25th year of that partnership, the cities, the Sister Cities Committee, and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic will join in Prague Days Chicago, a celebration that will feature the mayors of both cities, concerts, exhibitions, a gala dinner, and a review of the history of the Czechs who made their homes in Chicago.
