A glimps of hope emereged during the long Easter weekend with the opening of a Special Breeding Centre for Mountain Pygmy Possums by Ambassador Dub and the director of the Prague Zoo Miroslav Bobek. Located High in the Australian Alps, a fascinating creature weighing only 45 grams is being threatened to the point of critical endangerement with less than 2,000 left in the wild. Left with little options, Australian Conservationists have decided to create wild populations of the possum in locations they used to live millions of years ago, hoping that life may find a way.
