Ambassador Tomáš Dub today introduced the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union at the EU Delegation in Canberra. The presentation included the priorities of the Czech Presidency with information on the background and meaning of the Czech motto and logo with reference to the ideas of Václav Havel. Each of the guests received Czech souvenirs and a detailed text about our Presidency. The Ambassador then invited his fellow Ambassadors to a lunch reception. Today´s presentation will be followed by a presentation of our priorities at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs next week.
Ambassador Dub is on the photograph together with Michael Pulch, EU Ambassador to Australia, and Henrik Cederin, Ambassador of Sweden (which will take over the Presidency from the Czech Republic).
