This event has been organised in memory of the parade in the French town of Darney, during which two regiments of Czechoslovak legionnaires swore an oath of loyalty to the future republic in 1918 and thus laid the foundation of the independent Czechoslovak Armed Forces. 
The guests of honor were defense attachés and ambassadors of EU and NATO countries. 
The event was held in the garden of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo with the participation of approximately two hundred guests. Among others, they could taste not only traditional Czech dishes, but they could also listen to live Czech music performance.
