
Exhibition of Czech and Egyptian Heroines in Alexandria

The successful travelling exhibition "Czech and Egyptian Heroines" has moved to the Library of Alexandria in July 2023. On July 5,2023, the opening speech was given by the director of the library Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zayed, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Egypt H.E. Ivan Jukl and Tereza Svášková, the project coordinator of the Czech Centers.
The exhibition project was originally created in the Czech Republic in 2020 and features illustrated portraits of significant women seen through the eyes of the youngest generation of illustrators and graphic artists. The Alexandrian launch was supported by the European Union (EU Delegation in Egypt).
The exhibition will be open to the public until July 15. An accompanying programme of the exhibition will take place in August.
