
Czech and Egyptian Heroines in Luxor

We would like to invite you to the opening of the Czech and Egyptian heroines exhibition in the City of Luxor. The opening will take place on March 27, 2023 at 8:30PM in the Misr Public Library of Luxor, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ivan Jukl, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Egypt and H. E. Mrs. Christine Arab, Country Representative, UN Women Egypt.
The traveling exhibition "Czech and Egyptian Heroines" depicts portraits of 24 important Czech and Egyptian women from various fields living mainly in the 20th and 21st centuries. The portraits were created by students of art faculties. The exhibition was created with the cooperation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, Czech Centers, the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art of the University of West Bohemia, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Helwan University. Other partners include UN Women Egypt or the Czech company Dermacol. The exhibition will be on display at the premises of the Misr Public Library of Luxor until May 3, and after that it will head to other Egyptian cities.
