Regulation of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Repuublic against the risk of intrusion of a dangerous contagious disease - foot-and-mouth disease (hereinafter referred to as “FMD”) from Hungary

Due to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in Hungary and Slovakia, the Czech Republic has taken a series of preventive measures to prevent the spread of the disease on the territory of the Czech Republic. The State Veterinary Administration (SVS) has imposed an import ban on cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and other animals susceptible to the disease from Hungary.

An official explanation of the veterinary measures issued by the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic is available in English in the appendix. The measures are updated regularly.
