The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, in Bucharest at the B9 Summit

The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, visited Bucharest on 12th and 13th of May to attend the Summit of Bucharest Nine. During his stay in Romania, he also took part in several additional meetings.
At the invitation of the Royal House, he met at Elisabeth Palace with Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu. Afterwards, the President planted the Czech national tree, the linden, in the palace garden.
At the BSDA defence and aerospace trade fair, the most important event of its kind in the region, he met with Czech exhibitors. During a stop at our embassy, where a press briefing for the accompanying Czech media took place, the President also found time for a short meeting with the staff of the embassy and the Czech Centre Bucharest.
