Centenary of the Constitution of United Romania (1923 - 2023)

On 27 March 2023, a ceremonial assembly dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Romanian Constitution of 1923 was held at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest. The Czech Republic was represented by a delegation of Constitutional Judges JUDr. D. Uhlíř and JUDr. T. Lichovník, who met on this occasion with the Czech Ambassador to Romania, Halka Kaiserova.
The event was attended by representatives of 19 constitutional courts from Europe, namely Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Georgia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Hungary.
The President of Romania, Klaus Werner Iohannis, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Daniel, the President of the Senate, Alina Ștefania Gorghiu, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Ion-Marcel CIOLACU, the President of the Romanian Government, Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă, the Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Koen Lenaerts, and other representatives from the judiciary and academia addressed the Assembly.
