Social Policy Committee of the Senate of the Czech Republic in Bucharest

Members of the Committee on Social Policy of the Senate of the Czech Republic, the Chair of the Committee Miluše Horská and Senator Adéla Šípová visited Romania. During their working trip they had meetings with representatives of the Romanian Senate and the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity. The topics of the meeting were social support for people with disabilities, support for families, gender equality and the issue of domestic violence. As part of their working visit, they also visited the Centre for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Association of the Blind in Romania and the Asylum House for Women and Children Fleeing Domestic Violence. They paid tribute to President Václav Havel and the fighters for freedom and democracy at the memorial plaque in the lime tree avenue of Izvor Park.
