Conference 'The Geopolitics of Green Hydrogen: German, Czech and Belgian Perspectives' on 4 June in Brussels - jointly organised by the Czech Embassy and the German Embassy

On 4 June, a conference entitled: 'The Geopolitics of Green Hydrogen: German, Czech and Belgian Perspectives' was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Belgium and the German Embassy Brussels.
The conference, opened by the German Ambassador M. Kotthaus and the Czech Ambassador J. Skalník, focused on the Czech, German and Belgian strategies for hydrogen use and production. Particular attention was given to the discussion of policies related to hydrogen within the European Union.

The panelists were M. Woersdoerfer, Deputy Director-General at the European Commission´s DG Energy; P. Mervart, Plenipotentiary of the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade for Hydrogen Technologies; T. Hautekiet, President of the Belgian Hydrogen Council; V. Vohlídková Executive Director of the Czech Hydrogen Platform HYTEP and F. Matthes, Vice-Chairman of the German National Hydrogen Council.
The conference took place at the residence of the German Ambassador. The aim was to contribute to the identification of further synergies in the field of hydrogen between Czech, German and Belgian actors also within the EU context.
