The team of ophthalmologists from the Czech Republic conducted approximately 120 patients with cataract at the partner Rafik Hariri State Hospital (RHUH) from 24 April to 5 May 2023.

The identification and selection of patients from socially vulnerable communities, including refugees, for whom this medical care would otherwise be unavailable, was carried out in cooperation with the Lebanese non-governmental organization Amel Association International.
