Czechia is a candidate for the UN Human Rights Council

The mission of the UN Human Rights Council is to globally protect and promote all human rights and fundamental freedoms. Promotion of human rights is key priority of Czech foreign policy. If elected to the Council  Czech Republic pledges to:

- Work for the advancement of human rights in a fair and equal manner
- Collaborate in a transparent manner and in good faith with all States
- Cooperate with the United Nations Human Rights and advocate for its independence and impartiality

The election is taking place on 10 May!
