TOS Kunming, a subsidiary of the traditional Czech manufacturer TOS Varnsdorf, has been operating in China since 2005. It specializes in the production of modern machine tools, especially horizontal boring and milling machines intended primarily for the Chinese market. Over the past two decades, the company has become a major player in the field of precision engineering and has contributed to strengthening industrial cooperation between the Czech Republic and China.
TOS Varnsdorf, founded in 1903, is one of the leading European manufacturers of machine tools with a long tradition and technological know-how, which it successfully transfers to its foreign activities. TOS Kunming is an example of the effective combination of Czech engineering precision with the dynamism and scope of the Chinese market.
The celebration was attended by representatives of the Yunnan provincial government, the management of TOS Varnsdorf and TOS Kunming, as well as the head of the foreign office of the CzechTrade agency in Beijing, which long-term supports the entry and operation of Czech companies on the Chinese market.
In his speech, Ambassador Martin Tomčo praised twenty years of successful cooperation that combines Czech technological skills with Chinese industriousness and the potential of the local market. He also expressed his hope that this partnership will continue in the future and become an inspiration for other Czech companies to enter China.
