The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is announcing a call for service providers for the PROPEA program for 2026. Proposals for projects to support economic activities abroad (PROPEA) are submitted by potential implementers to the relevant Czech embassy abroad, which then submits them to the evaluation committee for approval. Approved projects will be able to implement projects in cooperation with embassies in the period from April 1 to October 31, 2026. The proposal can be sent no later than March 3, 2026 to the trade and economic section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in China to the email address beijing.commerce@mzv.gov.cz.
The Projects to Support Economic Activities Abroad (PROPEA) program will also allow companies to use the services of local experts in 2026, who can help them use a wide range of services.
The goal of the PROPEA program is:
• To provide Czech companies in foreign markets with quality services.
• Reduce the risks associated with entering demanding foreign markets for Czech companies.
• In the future, investment support for Czech companies, activities in this area are not limited to export, but rather have a character.
• Strengthen the capacity of the Czech Republic to support a more permanent presence of companies in foreign markets.
The services provided within the PROPEA projects are at a discount for companies and represent a supplement to the individual services provided to companies by CzechTrade and CzechInvest embassies and agencies abroad. PROPEA projects are therefore a supplement to the catalog of services of the Client Center for Export and the Unified Foreign Network of the Czech Republic, similar to the economic diplomacy program projects of PROPED.
Thanks to PROPEA projects, Czech companies can use, for example, assistance in securing the registration and certification of their products or in establishing branches abroad. The complete range of services that Czech companies can use within the PROPEA projects includes the following items:
• Preparation of a business plan for market entry or investment.
• Preparation of legal, tax, financial and legislative analysis.
• Launching products on the market (assistance in negotiations with financial institutions, support in handling accounts and securing financing, establishing a company, etc.).
• Securing licenses, certifications, product and trademark registrations.
• Securing and verifying documentation for import/export and logistics.
• Creating and coordinating supplier and partner networks.
• Securing promotional, marketing and PR services.
• Support in launching production/starting operations in the case of companies in the service sector.
• Use of technical facilities.
• Support for the association of Czech companies in the territory up to a maximum of CZK 50,000.
The PROPEA program is financed from combined funds designated from the interdepartmental joint instrument for supporting economic diplomacy. The maximum possible financial support for one PROPEA project implemented within one embassy in the period from April 1 to October 31, 2026 is CZK 300,000. Co-financing of individual services by Czech companies is set at a minimum of 30 percent of the price of the services provided.
Details about PROPEA projects will be provided to Czech companies by the staff of the Trade and Economic Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing. Potential implementers can submit proposals filling the attached document and sending it to the abovementioned e-mail by March 3, 2026.
