Projects to Support Economic Activities (PROPEA) for 2025: Call for Proposals

Proposals for projects to support economic activities abroad (PROPEA) are submitted by potential implementers to the relevant Czech embassy abroad, which then submits them to the evaluation committee for approval. Approved projects will be implemented by project implementers in cooperation with the embassy in the period from April 1 to October 31, 2025. Proposals can be sent no later than Sunday, March 30, 2025 to the Political and Economic Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in China to the email address Beijing.commerce@mzv.gov.cz.

The Projects for the Support of Economic Activities Abroad (PROPEA) program will continue to allow companies to use the services of local experts in 2025, who can help them offer a wide range of services.
The goal of the PROPEA program is:

  • To provide Czech companies in foreign markets with quality services.
  • To reduce the risks associated with entering demanding foreign markets for Czech companies.
  • In the future, to support Czech companies whose activities abroad are not limited to exports, but are more of an investment nature.
  • To strengthen the capacities of the Czech Republic to support a more permanent presence of companies in foreign markets.

The services provided within the framework of PROPEA projects are at a discounted price for companies and are a supplement to the individual services provided to companies by the Embassies, CzechTrade and CzechInvest and other agencies abroad. PROPEA projects are therefore a supplement to the catalogue of services of the Client Centre for Export and the unified foreign network of the Czech Republic, similar to the PROPED economic diplomacy project programme.
Through PROPEA projects, Czech companies can, for example, benefit from assistance in securing the registration and certification of their products or in establishing a branch abroad. The full range of services that Czech companies can use within the framework of PROPEA projects includes the following items:

  • Preparation of a business plan for market entry or investment.
  • Preparation of legal, tax, financial and legislative analysis.
  • Launching products on the market (assistance in negotiations with financial institutions, support in setting up an account and securing financing, founding a company, etc.).
  • Securing licenses, certifications, product and trademark registrations.
  • Securing and verifying documentation for import/export and logistics.
  • Creation and coordination of supplier and partner networks.
  • Provision of promotional, marketing and PR services.
  • Support in launching production/starting operations in the case of companies in the service sector.
  • Use of technical facilities.
  • Representing the company on site (on a commercial contractual basis between a Czech company and a foreign representative, without financial support from the PROPEA budget).

The PROPEA program is financed from pooled funds designated from the interdepartmental joint instrument for the support of economic diplomacy. The PROPEA budget subsidizes 70% of the service price, with the remaining 30% being co-financing from companies.
Details about PROPEA projects will be provided to Czech companies by employees of the political-economic section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing.
