Presentation of the Czech Investment Environment and Potential Business Cooperation in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province

A successful presentation of the Czech investment and business environment took place in Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province. The event also placed strong emphasis on Czech products that could find application in the region. Approximately 120 representatives of companies and the local government attended the event.
On 17 April, Adam Kupka, Economic Diplomat of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing, presented opportunities for mutual cooperation, focusing both on the potential for Czech companies to operate in the province and on the investment potential of the Czech Republic. The greatest opportunities for cooperation between Czech and Chinese companies in Shaanxi Province lie in aviation, mechanical engineering, the glass industry, agricultural production, and medical equipment.
The investment segment of the presentation was dedicated to Chinese companies considering overseas expansion. Key advantages highlighted included a skilled workforce, a strong industrial tradition, and competitive costs combined with high‑quality infrastructure.
Following the presentation, the approximately 120 representatives of companies and the local government engaged actively in discussions on opportunities for mutual cooperation, resulting in several proposals for joint projects.
