Meeting with the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)

On the sidelines of Beijing Auto Show, the largest automotive trade fair in China, a meeting took place between the Secretary‑General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), Mr. Fu Bingfeng, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to China.

The main topics of the meeting, which was held on 27 April, included potential areas of cooperation, the current state of the Chinese automotive industry, and future trends in the sector. In 2025, for the first time, more than half of newly registered vehicles in China were electric, confirming the current trajectory of the industry. Electromobility has thus become the central focus of the automotive sector in China. According to the Secretary‑General, alternative powertrains, such as hydrogen, remain a longer‑term prospect rather than an immediate priority.
