The working trip of the Embassy representatives took place on 24 August. The Rizhao city with three million inhabitants lies on the shores of the Yellow Sea and is located in the southeast part of Shandong Province. The city administration is ready to support the development of business partnerships between local and Czech entities.

During a meeting with the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Liu, the Ambassador stressed the importance of trade and economic cooperation and highly appreciated the support of the city administration for the project of a joint venture between Eldis Pardubice and Beijing Research Institute of Telemetry. The Deputy Mayor introduced the city, the sixth largest port in China, which he compared to the Czech Republic thanks to its very strong industrial base. Furthermore, both parties agreed on the interest in closer cooperation during a joint visit to the local Hi-tech Zone and the Rizhao port.
