
Czech rescuers simulated an intervention in the Beijing Olympic Park

For the second year is taking place successful training project for Beijing medical rescue team under the guidance of Emergency Medical Service of the Capital City of Prague. Chinese rescuers have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on handling crisis situations. Thus prepare themselves for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022. The highlight of the course was a simulation of a mass disaster situation in the Olympic Park with a respond of Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital and Beijing Red Cross 999 Emergency Rescue Center
The assistance is included in the bilateral cooperation plan under the Belt and Road initiative. It is intended to strengthen the capability of Chinese rescue workers before the next Olympic Games. A simulative intervention was preceded by a joint forum called the 2018 Czech-China Emergency Cooperation Development Forum. It was dedicated to training of Chinese health experts organized by Czech and Chinese rescuers under the auspices of both municipalities - Prague and Beijing. First aid training and proper preparation of Embassy staff were carried out by the Emergency Medical Service of the Capital City of Prague.
