
BVV Trade Fairs Brno presented their 2018 Shows and Exhibitions

Annual presentation of BVV Trade Fairs Brno took place yesterday at the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The Chairman of the Board Mr. Jiří Kuliš has given the introduction of the shows, which are going to take place this year in the Czech Republic and might be of interest to the Chinese exhibitors. The Chairman of BVV Trade Fairs Brno Mr. Jiří Kuliš has given a thorough introduction of all the shows the BVV Trade Fairs Brno are planning to organise this year. Among them are the well-known: Amper Show; TechAgro – International Agricultural, Forestry and Hunting Fair; STYL Fashion Fair and KABO Footwear Fair; Smart City & Building Fair as well as the most famous International Engineering Fair.
Welcoming speech to his words gave the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to China Mr. Bedřich Kopecký, and reasons why to travel to Czech Republic and what to discover in Brno after the show explained Mr. Lukáš Pokorný, Director of the CzechTourism Office in Beijing. The event was organised by the CzechTrade Office in Beijing.
Mr Kuliš prior to his presentation has also met with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, where he has discussed with Deputy Director General Mr. Zhou Tong about this year’s China participation at the International Engineering Fair in Brno.
International Engineering Fair in Brno is one of the best-known and well-publicised trade fairs in Central Europe with annual participation reaching more than 1.500 exhibitors and 75.000 visitors from 59 countries worldwide. The fair well demonstrates the rate of industrialization of the Czech Republic which is one of the highest if counted per capita. This year will be the 60th year the fair takes place since it has been opened to the international community in 1959.

BVV Trade Fairs Brno is one of the most prominent organizers of trade fairs in Central and Eastern Europe. Its core business is organization of trade fairs and exhibitions in Brno and around the world. Brno Exhibition Centre first opened in 1928 commemorating the first decennium of independent Czechoslovakia founded in 1918. At the moment, the Brno Exhibition Centre offers more than 130,000 sq m of net exhibition area thus ranking among the world largest exhibition centres. Every year approximately 50 trade fairs or other exhibition events are held at the Brno Exhibition Centre and over 1 million visitors come to see them. Traditionally, the largest and most important event is the annual MSV International Engineering Fair.
