Czech technology in Shanghai and Beijing was a success

The end of April 2015 was in the name of Czech technologies in Shanghai and Beijing. Czech companies were the center of attention at the China Shanghai International Technology Fair (CSITF 2015). Their technologies met the interest of hundreds of Chinese partners from a variety of sectors. Other Chinese Fairs, which saw Czech participation, were the China International Machine Tool Fair (CIMT) in Beijing and Auto Shanghai. Czech technologies were also successfully presented at various business forums in Shanghai and other Chinese cities. Most of these events took place in April 2015 as part of the Czech Days in Shanghai. The participating business delegation was the largest to ever visit China. Here are some of the main events - relating to business - that took place:
 

21. April

China International Machine Tool (CIMT 2015):

The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade J. Mládek supported the Czech participants at the 14th China International Machine Tool Show 2015 in Beijing.

CASTED Institute:

Representatives from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic met with the Chinese Institute for Science, Management and System Technologies CASTED in order to identify areas of possible cooperation.

Hainan Airlines:

Czech representatives met with the management of Hainan Airlines to discuss specific operational planning of the direct flight Prague – Beijing. The flight is set to become operational in September 2015.

 

22. April

Auto Shanghai:

The official delegation of the Czech Republic led by the Speker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic J. Hamáček visited the Škoda Auto exhibition stand at Auto Shanghai 2015.

Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce:

The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade J. Mládek met with the Director-General of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Shang Yuying in order to discuss business opportunities between Czech Republic and China. Shanghai is set to promote Czech Republic as a prospective investment destination.

 

23. April

China Shanghai International Technology Fair (CSITF 2015):

More than 70 Czech companies took part in the China Shanghai International Technology Fair (CSITF). This year, Czech Republic was also the partner country of this fair and it promoted not only its technologies but also itself as a touristic destination and an active regional player. The participants were businesses from many high-tech sectors: environmental technology, energy, machinery, aviation, IT, nano- and bio-technologies, health and others. There was also the traditional automobile industry and transport engineering, glassmaking, financial services and educational and research institutions.

Ministry of Science and Technology:

The Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang expressed interest in further cooperation between the Czech Republic and China in the field of science and technology. This area is one of China’s priorities in Central and Eastern Europe. The Czech Minister J. Mládek mentioned the importance of innovation for economic growth and the link to technical education. Minister Wan, accompanied by the head of the Czech delegation, paid a visit to the Czech pavilion at CSITF 2015.

Financial Group Fosun:

Some members of the Czech delegation met with the management of the Chinese company Fosun Group, which is interested in investing in the Czech Republic. Its focus will be on health, banking, insurance, real estate, tourism and new technologies.

 

24. April

Alibaba Group:

The head of the Czech delegation J. Hamáček met in Hangzhou with the CEO of Alibaba Group Jonathan Lu and discussed possible investment opportunities in the Czech Republic.

Business seminar in Suzhou:

Suzhou is considered to be the technological centre of China. A Czech business delegation led by the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian region M. Novák presented Czech technologies here at the „Czech-China Technology Cooperation Day“ workshop.

 

25. April

Opening of Czech crystal store Moser:

Members of the official Czech delegation participated in the opening of Moser House with famous Czech crystal.

China Eastern:

The Czech delegation met with the president of China Eastern Liu Shaoyong to discuss possible cooperation.
