
New Superb has arrived to China

Škoda Auto has introduced a new generation of their “Superb” to China. This traditional Czech company launched their brand new car at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing by throwing a magnificent party.
On Monday 9th of November Škoda Auto celebrated a launch of the new Superb. For this occasion over 150 guests gathered in the gardens of the Czech Embassy. They got to know the new Superb in a rather unique way. At first, Škoda made a projection of novel video clips that introduced the hosts to the specifics of the new car. Through presentations and live interviews they also got more familiar with the Czech culture. After a black theather performance the car was revealed to the sound of life music.
In the audience was also the president of Škoda China Andreas Hafemann, the brand director of Škoda Shanghai Thomas Owsianski, and the Czech Deputy Head of Mission Zbyněk Noha who gave a speech. He expressed the appreciation of the great impact that Škoda Auto has made on the Czech – Chinese relations and promotion of Czech culture.
For Škoda Auto China represents a key market. The previous generation of Škoda Superb was launched in China at 2009 and the model enjoyed great success with more than 218 000 cars sold since. Even more popular is another Škoda car called Yeti for which opted over half of a million Chinese customers already. But Škoda plans are even more ambitious – to sell their cars to over 500 000 Chinese customers per year.
